AFTER a whirlwind 2011 tour schedule of nearly 20 concerts across the length
of the country, the NZGQ is quickly developing a following with invitations
to perform both locally and overseas. Highlights for the 2012 season include
an up-coming New Zealand premiere of the Rodrigo Guitar Quartet Concerto
Andaluz with the Nelson Symphony. NZGQ members, Owen Moriarty, Tim Watanabe, Christopher Hill and Jane Curry have garnered acclaim as soloists on concert stages around the world and in a multitude of international guitar competitions, with each member contributing their individual strengths toward creating an exciting, dynamic and engaging ensemble.

Repertoire for the 2012 concert series ranges from the classical to the contemporary,
featuring expert arrangements of Bach's Third Brandenburg Concerto and
Manual de Falla's El Amor Brujo as well as cutting edge home grown music by
                                  New Zealand composers.
